M. Jordan Scott is a community advocate and investor in Austin, TX. Until 2006, he worked as Senior VP of Tracking at Control Risks, a London-based global security consultancy. He joined the company when they acquired Flightlock, Inc., a startup he co-founded to provide tracking software for corporate travelers.
Early in his career, Jordan started Lonestar Capital Management, an Austin-based hedge fund, and worked for his grandfather, George Kozmetzky, on economic development in the Rio Grande Valley. He formerly served on the board of the RGK Foundation and is passionate about philanthropy benefitting education and children’s medicine. He recently finished a term as an Alderman with the City of Rollingwood.
Jordan graduated from Colorado College with a bachelor’s in economics. He spends his time coaching youth soccer, wake surfing and being a proud dad to his three boys Cole, Callum, and Campbell.
